Bio

Originally from Chicago, Tim has worked, trained and toured most of the United States and traveled the world.  He is currently based in the Southern region of the United States.  He is based in Texas and Louisiana and runs a creative development agency where he creates under Shane Arts.

Tim has worked for the Southern Methodist University Meadows School of the Arts (SMU) and Graduated from Texas Christian University (TCU) with a Bachelors of Fine Arts (BFA) in Directing Theatre, Television and Film Media.

1990’s

He originally coined the phrase “artrepreneurship” in the 1990’s as he found innovative ways to make a living with his nomadic theater companies, Commedia dell’Carte, SATER and Comedy Killers Murder Mysteries.  Specializing in live interactive theater like Renaissance and Shakespeare Festivals, Theme Parks, Parties and Attractions he created an ensemble marking as “A Theater Coming Near You”.

2000’s

During the 00’s there were many companies and limited performance space.  He opened the Dallas Hub Theater to make a home and safe place to explore new and fringe works for his creative companies as well as many in the region.  He produced the first 5 years of  the DFW Fringe Festival, the DFW Playwrights Alliance and served as the Marketing Chair for the Dallas Theatre League.  

2010’s

During the dawn of social media, smart phones and podcasts Tim focused his talent and skills on emerging technologies in the digital domain.  He began working with first responders and nonprofits helping raise funds and awareness in the digital realm.  He was an early adopter of the power of Google, MySpace, Facebook and channels such as BBB and Yelp.  

2020’s 

Tim evolved his skillsets in producing, performing, voicework, fundraising into the Creative Development side of Shane-Arts.  
He still performs around the USA and enjoys live performances, competitive equestrian sports and many more hobbies and interest.
